Portugal’s connection with the sea dominates much of the country’s culture. The Silver Coast beaches feature miles of unspoilt sand, cliffs and rocky coves to explore. The beaches local to CampoReal are popular with families and surfers.
- Ericeira
Just a 15 minute drive from the resort, Ericeira’s beaches are all within walking distance of the town square. Until the 1980s, Ericeira was a small fishing village. Today it attracts people out of Lisbon to the refreshing Atlantic coast during the hot summer months. Once you have built up an appetite, visit Furnas restaurant for delicious fresh seafood with a spectacular sea view. Choose from sardines, sea bass, turbot or lobster, clams and crabs and savour some of the best tastes of the deep. - Calada – North of Ericeira
Beautiful small beach in a cove, not too crowded and absolutely perfect for windy days! - Ribeira D’Ilhas – North of Ericeira
Every year this beach host a round of the World Surfing Championship – it is a surfers’ paradise! - Santa Cruz – North of Ericeira
Santa Cruz is another hot spot for swimmers and wave sports. It hosts the annual Ocean Spirit festival with some of the best wave sports in the world as well as live music in the evenings. - Areia Branca
A very long beach – fill your lungs with the salty sea air as you walk along by the Atlantic sea. - Praia Grande – North of Sintra
For decades, families from Lisbon and Cascais have visited Praia Grand or Praia das Maças for their summer vacation. It is a special place with a lot of tradition! - Peniche
Peniche is a fishing port to the north of CampoReal, known for its excellent seafood and long windy beaches. Park by the wooden walkways over the dunes and take a walk to the beach, meander through the village, visit the churches and end your morning with a sardine lunch. Alternatively, take a day boat trip out to the island of Berlenga for a spot of bird watching.
During July till the end of August , The CampoReal Golf Resort & Spa provides free shuttle service to the coast.
